Roger Caras said "Dogs are not our whole life but they make our lives whole." He was wrong. When you live with four, obedience train two, agility train two and co-own a dog boutique:(GollyGear); dogs are your life. And life is good.

Party time!
New Orleans celebrated yesterday with the Krewe of Barkus parade. Can't believe I missed it!
I feel sort of guilty about the fact that I want to visit NOLA again. It's one of my favorite places, but there's some lingering shame about visiting there as just a tourist, when so much re building still needs to be done...
We are a huge fan of your blog, and wanted to know if you could pass on some information for us on behalf of the National Canine Weight Check. The National Canine Weight Check is an educational campaign happening during the month of February. We’re encouraging everyone to get a free weight check for their dogs at a participating vet’s office. We thought that your audience might be particularly interested in this message.
Feel free to check out what we are all about at www.stopcanineobesity.com. There is a list of participating vets, as well as a BARC Quiz that can help determine if a dog is overweight or not (which is by no means a substitute for a vet checkup). We are trying to raise awareness about this issue and would love your help. If you have any questions, feel free to send us an email at stopcanineobesity@gmail.com. Sorry we posted this as a comment – we couldn’t find an email address listed. Thanks!
Frogdogz: I think you should make your reservations for NOLA immediately! What could possibly be better for New Orleans then going, having a wonderful time, spending lots of money, then getting out of the way! Sounds like a wonderful idea!
Barc: It's important to get the word out - good luck with your campaign!
Hope and Fran are sisters and owners of GollyGear - a shop specializing in fun, affordable, and practical products especially for small dogs.
We believe that dogs are wonderful companions and their presence enriches our lives. We also know how difficult it can be to find appropriate "gear" for our small dogs, which is why we founded Golly Gear. We make it a point to discover the best products for small dogs and share them with other, devoted dog lovers.
Fran has two dogs: Tango, a 5-year-old Brussels Griffon who got off to a bit of a rough start, but is rapidly becoming a wonderful companion and agility dog, with his Masters Standard and Novice Jumpers titles, and Booker, 2-year-old Boston Terrier just starting his adventure. Hope has Teddy a 4-year-old fawn Frenchie with attitude and Open Standard and Jumpers titles; and Torque, a brand-new Frenchie baby.
Golly Gear is named for Fran's Brussels Griffon, Golly - who was a discriminating judge of all things dog throughout her life.
