Our girls have never lived with a cat, never met a cat, and love chasing all critters from our yard. Unlikely trio

I think the only reason dogs chase cats is that some cats run because they just don't like confrontation. When my cat came in to our lives off the streets, she let it be known that she did not run. Somehow the dogs got the body language.
They still chase other cats though.
