Truly a Princess

Some dispute the fact that Golly is a Princess. However, we have proof. She rule the house with an iron paw, having minions bring her food, treats, toys and bones. Her minions (that would be Hope and me) provide her with soft beds, sofas and chairs to recline upon. Her minions also provide a nice green lawn for her to walk upon. Her home is a constant, comfortable temperature. Sounds like a princess to me.

Last night was the ultimate proof. I had to get up in the middle of the night (it's tough getting older) and found the Princess on my other pillow, next to my face. And Golly seemed to say, "Is this not my right?"

Some dogs seem to be born to royalty.

Misty the alpha Poodle has human minions, three dog servants and even the cat when no one is watching.

Pillows are ultimate. I believe princesses should always have first right of refusal for pillows!

Having had a princess dog, I can attest that the smartest animal around is not the one that can retrieve a dead duck or guide a blind person, but the one that can manipulate her humans into waiting on her hand and paw.

My labrador, Boomer, used to sleep with me, and he would actually try to push me out of the way!

Golly is a total princess -- all she needs is a sleeping mask for when she's sleeping so that when you get up in the middle of the night and turn the lights on you won't disturb her :)
