Natural oddity

Yesterday afternoon we had a hail storm. Which is not all that ususual, we do occasionally get them, especially in the spring. The weird thing was that all the hail stones were cone-shaped!
I'd never seen anything like it before. Hail is usually round, isn't it?
I think you can see, even in the grass - that it's all cone-shaped.

That IS some weird looking hail! We had a little hail here yesterday afternoon during a rainstorm, but it was tiny. That hail is huge!

Huh. That is weird. But, you could always turn 'em upside down, ad flavored syrup, and sell them to local children. : D

I hope that the cone shape isn't some weird scientific phenomenon that indicates the earth is about to blow up. But, there again, I have a great imagination! =P
